That is when you kiss with an open mouth, and touch each other's tongues. The tongue has a very sensitive surface, which is why tongue to tongue is the essence of french kissing!
It's important to remember that French Kissing isn't strange or abnormal. It's just KISSING. It's how everybody kisses, when they are in a romantic relationship :)

Can you "catch something" by kissing? Yes you can -- anything from just a cold to a pretty serious sexually transmitted disease. Also the AIDS virus could be transmitted by kissing someone who has the disease, especially if you have any cuts in your mouth.
So if someone has a cold or the flu, wait until it's over. If you see he's got sores on his mouth or lips, stay away! Also, if you have cuts in your mouth, or he does this increses your chance of passing on infection.
I don't want to make you paranoid, but just to tell you there's no such thing as "safe kissing" so keep that in mind.

I agree. You really feel close to that person afterwards. It is the true measure of what you feel toward that person and makes them feel good about being with you.
